Rusty is a wonderful male who needs a forever home to live out his days. He is a special needs boy who is deaf and suffered a spinal injury at one time in his life. He is on a maintenance dose of Metacam to reduce inflammation and it really works because he can run, jump, play and get in to trouble. He is very people oriented so even though he is deaf he always has his eye on the person he’s with and seems to know what his person wants of him.
He was found wandering the streets and was very, very thin. He apparently stayed alive by raiding garbage cans (a skill he has held on too, so his foster mom has to be sure the garbage is secured or he will review its contents for tasty morsels!) He has a great appetite and sings when you make his dinner.
All Rusty wants is a person to love him and food! He loves to walk, gets along with other dogs and cats. His House training is OK if he is kept on a schedule. If not, he will have accidents. He is very happy to wear a belly band. He is a love and will make someone a wonderful pet.
