PCA Rescue Trust accepts purebred Papillons. Our job is to ensure that all members of our beloved breed are able to live out their lives in a stable, healthful and loving environment. Our volunteers agree to abide by the guidelines as set forth by the Board of Trustees. With your help we can continue to succeed in our mission.

Each rescued Papillon is treated with special care. They are evaluated by a veterinarian for common health issues, given required medical care and spayed or neutered. Our caregiver system is one of our greatest assets. When our Papillons are cared for in a loving home environment by experienced volunteers we are better able to evaluate temperament and special needs. Great care is taken in determining the type of "forever" home that would suit each best. Many rescued Papillons have been displaced through no fault of their own. However, some have health or behavior issues that require very specialized homes.

The Papillon, pronounced pA-pee-yawn and French for "butterfly", is a highly intelligent, loyal, and obedient breed. They are usually mostly white, with either brown (sable) or black areas on their face, ears and body. Papillons usually range in size from 5 to 15 pounds.
